Norman William "'Bubba'" Hussey
Leominster - Norman William Hussey, 72 years old of Leominster, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died at the home of his daughter Bettina Johnson in Tyngsboro on January 9, 2017, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer for the past six years. He is survived by his first wife Doris Mahoney, Tyngsboro, and will be sadly missed by his daughters Dorothy Hussey, Lowell, Bettina Johnson, Tyngsboro, and Tiffany Cordio, Leominster. He is also survived by the children of his pre-deceased and loving wife of 26 years, Judy (Kumpu) Hussey; Wendy Muldoon, Dawn Mei, Michelle LeBlanc, Arthur Thiboutot, and Stephen LeBlanc, 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sister's Norma (Herman) Boudreau, Arichat, Nova Scotia and Sharon MacPhee, Derry, NH.
Norman was born on January 26, 1944 in Norfolk, VA, son of Norman W and Gladys E (Hinson) Hussey. He was the proud owner of Norm's Auto Service in Fitchburg since 1995 until his retirement. He was an upstanding member of the Fitchburg community, and devoted to his family and his career as an auto mechanic.
Norman was an active member of the United States Army and served in Germany receiving letters of appreciation and commendation.
Norman's family held a special place in his heart and he loved to spend time helping others. He fought to the end. Donations can be made to the Cancer Centre, Burbank Hospital, 275 Nichols Rd.,Fitchburg, MA.
HUSSEY - A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13th at 12:30 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Friday, prior to the service, from 11:00 to 12:30 pm in the Funeral home. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
