LANDRY, Marie Lucille – 82, of Arichat, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2017 at her home. Born in Arichat, she was a daughter of the late Alcide and Eva Jane (Richard) Marchand. Lucille loved bingo, playing cribbage, knitting and preparing large meals for her family. She was a devoted mother to her children and grand grandmother and to her great grandchildren. She was also a devoted wife to her late husband Cyril Landry who she cared for until his passing in 2011. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Leonard) Gerroir, West Arichat, Claudette (Pierre) Madore, Calgary, Celeste (Velma) Samson, Arichat and her son, Gilles Landry (Tammy), Lower River; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren; brothers, Alfred (Claire), Arichat, Venare (Patsy), Louisdale and Bernard (Dianne), Toronto; sisters, Edith Samson, Evangeline Boudreau, both of Petit de Grat, Delia Samson, Lorraine Richard, both of Arichat, Francine Jollymore (Allister), West Arichat, Etta Boudreau (Mark) Port Hawkesbury. Besides her husband Cyril, she was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, and Velma and two brothers in infancy; sisters, Clarice David and Agnes DeCoste and grand daughter Sunshine Madore. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11 am in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial to follow in Our Lady of assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the Isle Madame Food Bank or to Our Lady of Assumption Parish Building Fund. A reception will be held following the committal at the New Horizon’s Seniors Club in Arichat. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
