Thomas Leonard Covin, 58, of Chapel Island, formerly of West Arichat that occurred at the QE11 Health Science Centre in Halifax on November 19, 2017. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Ellen (Cormier) Covin. He is survived by his son Jerrick Babin, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Howard (Carol), Murdock (Darlene) both of Dartmouth; Bernie (Joy), Ontario; sister, Marie, Port Hawkesbury; Godson, Jeremy (Jocelyn), Dartmouth, along with his many nieces and nephews. Thomas is also survived by his girlfriend Anita Basque, Chapel Island. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ray. Visitation will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat, on Saturday, November 25th, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michel Exalant officiating. Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in West Arichat. A reception will take place in the Acadiaville Hall in West Archat, following the burial. Memorial donations can be made to the family.
